On wearing masks
When we visited Japan in 2018 we saw lots of people wearing masks every day. Totally normal. Nothing strange. My friend told me people wear masks when they are not feeling well to protect others from their germs.
Now we’re being asked to wear masks and for many of us, this is something we still need to get used to. Wearing masks still needs to be normalised.
It might help to ask whether we have to wear masks or whether we get to wear masks. What’s the difference?
We all have a role to play in this global pandemic. What is yours?
