You get what you need
Is it possible to have it all?
I’d hazard a generalisation and say no it isn’t. Even if you had your version of ‘it all’ would you be satisfied? Would your ‘it all’ be satisfying if it was attainable?
It’s like trying to find accommodation in Cape Town. You’re never going to find a place in the perfect location with a nice bathroom and kitchen and a parking spot. You need to decide which is more important and go for the best you can get.
Getting what you want (or where you want to get to) often takes sacrifice or giving up something else. If you found that perfect home, for example, your neighbour would probably be a psychopath who loves playing the same Alanis Morrisette song every night at midnight.
What are you willing to sacrifice to get to where you want to go?
